In 1993, she co-founded the consultancy CEAG, where she led the M&A team focusing on identifying investment opportunities and managing the transaction process. Since 2017 she has been running her own consultancy, Margareta Křížová – Business Advisory. At the same time, she heads the NEWTON Business Accelerator at NEWTON University in Prague. She studied International and Public Relations and earned her MBA in International Business and Marketing at ESCEM School of Business and Management / University of New York. She was one of the investors in the Czech version of Den D (Shark Tank), hosted a Czech Television programme on financial literacy, and presented her own radio show Podnikání od A do Zet (“Business from A to Z”). Her book Z deníku investorky (“From an Investor’s Diary”), published by Albatros, offers practical tips and inspiration for entrepreneurs and leaders. Alongside business and strategic consulting, she also collaborates with companies as a lecturer, focusing on innovation, business strategy, and leadership. She is a member of the Council for the Commercialisation of Research Results at the Czech University of Life Sciences. In addition to her mentoring and advisory activities, she actively supports entrepreneurial innovation as a judge in business competitions. She is a member of the International Advisory Board of Danubius University, a former member of the Management Committee of E-COST (European Cooperation in Science and Technology), a member of the Executive Board of the Danubius Academic Consortium (Academic Network for Integral Innovation), a member of iATDi (International Association for Technological Development and Innovations), Vice-Chair of the Cultural and Educational Grant Agency (Committee 3), and a former member of the Accreditation Commission of the Ministry of Education, Science, Research and Sport of the Slovak Republic. Prof. Cagáňová previously worked at the Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava as a research fellow, as the first Vice-Dean for Strategic Development and International Relations, Vice-Dean for International Relations and International Projects, and as Ambassador for International Relations at the Institute of Industrial Engineering and Management. My Ngoc Truongová is the founder and director of the educational organisation Magnus Academia, which focuses on teaching Czech and supporting the integration of the Vietnamese community in the Czech Republic. Together with her team of Czech and Vietnamese lecturers, she leads Czech language courses for children, adults, university students, and applicants preparing for language exams. At NEWTON University, she is responsible for teaching Czech to Vietnamese students and supporting them in their adaptation process. Lukáš Vartiak earned his PhD at the University of Žilina (Slovakia) with a specialisation in Economics and Management of an Enterprise. His scholarly work comprises over eighty publications, with primary research interests in corporate social responsibility (CSR), business excellence, management, marketing, and economics, many of which are indexed in the Web of Science and Scopus. He has served as principal researcher on a project addressing CSR in the academic environment and currently leads a VEGA-funded project focused on CSR in the post-pandemic period. Yvona Dicker is a lecturer, teacher trainer and methodologist with extensive experience in English language education across Europe, Africa and Asia. She currently teaches Business English and Critical Thinking at NEWTON University and serves as a Team Leader on the British Council’s STELIER Project in Rwanda, where she mentors and supports pre-service and in-service teachers. Over the past 15 years, she has taught and trained in a wide range of contexts, from legal English for the Judicial Academy of the Slovak Republic to teacher training in Tunisia and summer school programmes in the UK. Her experience includes leading international teacher development projects, supporting non-profit organisations and presenting at professional conferences and CPD events. Andrew Cousin is a British lecturer with an MBA specialising in strategic planning and change management. Before entering academia, he built a successful career in organisational development, government service and multinational business environments. In the 1990s, he led large-scale change programmes for governmental institutions and later managed strategic restructuring projects at Exxon, including oversight of a 300 million USD inventory division. From 2010, he served as Dean of Online Masters Programmes at the London School of Business and Finance, where he oversaw seven postgraduate programmes, a team of international academics and a turnover of 15 million GBP. Vladimír Borský works as a vocational training methodologist for the Police of the Czech Republic. He has been involved in direct teaching activities since 2014, focusing primarily on the education of new recruits as well as qualification courses for long-serving police officers. He also gains experience as the chairman of the non-profit organisation Neodkládej to, which focuses on awareness and prevention of domestic violence. He is a successful graduate of NEWTON University, and he was so impressed by the attitude of the academics that he wanted to become part of the academic community himself. He approaches teaching in the same way he would expect it as a student. The goal of each of his lectures is maximum practical benefit, and he continuously verifies with students whether that goal is being met.
