Finding solutions that are both environmentally and financially viable is the core challenge we’re tackling at swapnito. During my studies at NU, I had the chance to build swapnito through course assignments, helping us grow from zero to an organization with 20+ events, 5,000 participants, and over 70 volunteers. In the upcoming year, we aim to scale across Slovakia with 10 ambassadors organizing events in new regions, reaching a target of 10,000 participants.

Originally from the United States, Rob Westbrook arrived in Central Europe to reconnect with his family’s Austrian heritage and eventually made Brno his long-term home. Lucie Charvátová joined the NEWTON University community originally as a lecturer in sports marketing. A few years later, she found herself at the heart of a major transformation of the finance team and made a move few would expect from a top-level biathlete. She took on a junior accounting role.
