This also includes mentoring from experienced professionals who will guide you through key decisions. We bring together capital, know-how, and contacts to give your idea the best chance to succeed in a competitive environment.

With NEWTON University Angels, we focus on the earliest stages of business where success is rare. We take risks because we want to be more than investors. We act as co-founders and advisors – something traditional investors rarely do.

Our fund brings together investor capital and allocates it to selected projects led by talented individuals. You can receive up to CZK 500,000 to kick-start your idea, plus mentoring and startup support.

We enter the company as minority shareholders with an investment horizon of 5 to 7 years. We belong to the 3Fs group (friends, family, fools). If your project succeeds, we eventually exit and return the yield to our investors – or you can buy our share back.

How to apply to NEWTON University Angels

Do you have a business plan and need an investor to help you get started? Are you launching a business and looking for support? Get in touch with us.
We are building on the NEWTON Business Accelerator programme – projects that emerged from it can now apply for their first investment. However, you can also apply with a business project that did not go through the accelerator.
We will review your submitted project and give you feedback on what needs to be added. Together, we’ll fine-tune it into a form that’s ready to be presented to the investment committee. If you convince the investors, you’ll receive an investment of up to CZK 500,000 and us as a partner to help grow your business.
Just send your application to the fund’s founder, Ing. Michal Tesař, at michal.tesar@newton.university, including your contact details and a brief description of your idea, project, or business plan. We will get back to you to discuss the next steps.
