NEWTON University and mental health: Better Mind, Better Prague
At NEWTON University, we prioritise mental health. At the Better Mind, Better Prague conference, held on World Mental Health Day at NEWTON University, inspiring speakers such as Ondřej Nádvorník, Co-founder and CTO of SATI APP, Radka Vladyková, Director of the Union of Towns and Municipalities of the Czech Republic, David Procházka, founder of Donio.cz and the youngest Prague city councillor, and Kamil Polák, Head of the Specialised Methodology Department at the Ministry of the Interior’s Services Agency, shared their insights.
The SATI APP was also featured at the conference. It is a mobile app that supports mental health. The app allows you to freely express your problems and find empathetic, trained listeners. The app also includes a mood tracker that records your moods and provides an overview of your mental health.
For NEWTON University students, we offer a unique internship opportunity — become a volunteer at SATI APP! After completing online training followed by a personal meeting, you will receive a certificate (valid for one year) and can become a “Listener” to help where it’s needed!
Mental health is a highly discussed topic. If you’re interested in more information, watch the CNN Prima News report with Kateřina Çakin, Director of the Center for Business Disciplines at NEWTON University, or read some of our articles on mental health and well-being on NEWTON TODAY.
