Anna works as a Marketing Project Manager at Heroine. In a strategic and executive role, she coordinates campaign projects, leads an internal social media team as well as external specialists, and oversees key partnerships together with event production and marketing. Her journey into marketing, however, was far from straightforward. She worked with the event team at NEWTON University, held junior roles in social media and performance marketing, took a six-month break from the field during a period of crisis, and even got rejected for her dream position, only to eventually land the role after all.
In her talk, she openly shares how she made her way to major projects, everything she had to learn along the way, and why she believes the “right moment” to take a big step never really comes. The talk is about overcoming imposter syndrome, having the courage to step into the unknown, and recognising that confidence and competence don’t come before you take action. They come as a result of it.
