Imagine a holiday in Spain where you can confidently communicate at a restaurant, ask for directions or have a chat with locals. Spanish course (Prague) - A1 will help you take your first steps in Spanish and gain greater confidence in everyday communication.

Over 12 lessons, you will learn basic vocabulary, grammar and practical phrases that you can use in everyday situations. You will learn to talk about everyday life, studies, work and free time, introduce yourself, ask simple questions and have short conversations.

You can look forward to conversations, listening exercises, pronunciation practice, role-plays, pair and group work, as well as situations inspired by real life in Spanish-speaking countries.

The course is ideal for complete beginners as well as those who already have some basic experience with Spanish and want to strengthen their foundations.

The course focuses on practical Spanish and its use in everyday situations. You will practise pronunciation, listening, simple conversation and writing, while gradually building your basic grammar and vocabulary.

What can you look forward to?

  • practical dialogues and simple conversations based on everyday situations,
  • practising Spanish pronunciation, rhythm and intonation,
  • essential grammar in practical contexts, including the present tense and common verb structures,
  • vocabulary related to everyday life, studies, work, travel and free time,
  • topics such as shopping, services, everyday situations, opinions, preferences and plans,
  • role-plays, guided discussions and pair or small-group work,
  • situations inspired by real-life communication in Spanish-speaking countries,
  • basic cultural insights, everyday customs and differences in communication.

The course is led by Marta Lobo Perez, an experienced Spanish teacher with more than 19 years of international teaching experience. She has taught in the United Kingdom, China, Singapore and the Czech Republic. Her teaching combines vocabulary, grammar, reading, listening and, above all, practical communication. She also uses authentic materials, audio, videos, books and other interactive activities.
