Our graduate Zuzana Ševčíková has published a book titled Re: E-mailing, který funguje (Re: Emailing That Works). It is the first Czech publication to explore email marketing in real depth. Studies, networking, and now a place to blow off steam. NEWTON University has partnered with Gorilla Gym Prague (Entrance No. 8), a space focused on MMA, functional training and conditioning. Thanks to this partnership, NEWTON University students and staff can benefit from discounted entry and services.
Leadership is not about words, but about actions. You can talk about it endlessly, teach it in lectures and rehearse it in model situations. But its true nature only reveals itself in the moment when a person must take responsibility and act.
Ondřej Průcha, our lecturer and CEO of Svoboda & Průcha, is an example of such a leader. Together with him, we are organising a fundraiser to purchase an ambulance for frontline areas in Ukraine. This ambulance will not sit idle in a garage – it will be deployed where every minute decides between life and death. Join us in turning responsibility into real help.
We have moved the Brno campus of NEWTON University and Vysoká škola STING. From the new academic year 2025/2026 you will find us in the Machova Building in the Technology Park. Studying at NEWTON was a great experience for me. I truly enjoyed my follow-on Master’s degree here, especially as I could compare it with my Bachelor’s studies at a state university. “AI may be remarkable, but a human educator remains irreplaceable,” says Rob Westbrook
Originally from the United States, Rob Westbrook arrived in Central Europe to reconnect with his family’s Austrian heritage and eventually made Brno his long-term home. At NEWTON University he teaches much more than English or mathematics. His work focuses on nurturing critical thinking, intellectual curiosity and empathy in a new generation of students. In this interview, he reflects on why Brno became such a significant place for him, what gives NEWTON its distinctive sense of community, and why the human presence in teaching matters more than ever in an age defined by rapid technological change.

“After training, I go and relax with spreadsheets,” says our colleague, biathlete Lucie Charvátová
Lucie Charvátová joined the NEWTON University community originally as a lecturer in sports marketing. A few years later, she found herself at the heart of a major transformation of the finance team and made a move few would expect from a top-level biathlete. She took on a junior accounting role. It soon became clear that the analytical thinking, precision and discipline that had taken her to Olympic level work just as well in the world of finance. Before leaving for the Olympic Games in Milan, we asked Lucie how two seemingly different worlds connect. Sport and professional life.

Sailing is our passion! Yachting is our university sport and everyone is welcome. Since 2011, we’ve been organising our own regatta, the NEWTON CUP, in Croatia.
